Dear Mr. Willy Wonka

Dear Mr. Willy Wonka from Charlie and the chocolate factory,

I will never forget you! Starting from grade 1, I have read about you, I always thought of you as one of the best friends. You are a man full of craziness and intelligence. All the candies you invented brought joy and happiness to all the people in the world. However, with the new US curriculum, I think the new students in there may never have a chance to meet you, and will never have the same lesson that I have learned from you.
With your story, I understood that good things come in small packages. Just like the chocolate bar inside the story, the single chocolate bar contains all of Charlie’s dreams. With the golden ticket inside the bar, it changed Charlie’s whole life. So no matter how small the thing is, it can make a grave impact on your life.
However, I think there’s nothing I can do with the new US curriculum. It is such a lost for the new students because they will never have a chance to learn anything from you. They can only study some solemn books and learn some knowledge that wouldn’t help them in their age.

Sincerely,
Art Tso

  1. Art, I really understand you. It is such a pity that this kind of literature is banned or not allowed. I really like Willy Wonka, too. Although he is a bit odd and crazy, he is very nice. He wants to make children happy and therefore makes candy and chocolate. Would do you think what even adults could learn from him?

  2. art, i know this movie "Willy Wonka's chocolate factory" this movie i have been watched the movie in my grade 4 summer holiday, even so many year pasted but i still remember it very deeply. i remember that candy and chocolate garden, every thing made by candy, even the ground, the grass, the flowers. you can eat it everywhere. and i also learn this from the boy, who was so kind and nice. from this movie i think nice people will have happy life in the end. Willy Wonka's father and family relationship also is light point in this movie, when my parents saw this movie with me, they just realized don't be so strict to me. they were much nicer to me.
    good movie and good blog.

  3. I have watched this movie before and I totally agree with you that Willy Wonka was kind of crazy. Although he made a lot of changes in his factory, but I think he just wanted to make the factory more interesting, give happiness to children and hope they will have a good memory.
